Karima BoukHennou

Morocco

My name is Karima. I’m a mother of four girls, and I work as a DOJ representative at the Hope Center, helping immigrants and refugees get their legal benefits, such as green cards, citizenship, and access to other benefits that can change their lives. I am also a student at Tri-C.

I came to America in February 2009 as an immigrant, searching for better life opportunities for myself and my family.

What I love about my new home is that I’m grateful to have come to America, and especially to Cleveland. The weather might not be the best, but I love the parks, the diversity, and the community here. Cleveland has given me a space where I can learn, grow, and build a better future for me and my daughters.
