Jewel Yokie

My name is Jewel Yokie. I am a senior manager and career specialist at the Hope Center, a ministry for Building Hope in the City.

My family came to the US as refugees in 2005. My parents and siblings had to flee from Liberia to Sierra Leone in the 90s due to a civil war that spanned several years.

I love how Cleveland welcomes the world through art, music, and cuisine. There are no shortage of cultural festivities highlighting just how rich in diversity our city is.
